After almost 28 years, manning the front desk and keeping us in line, Nancy is retiring, to pursue her second career…”What to do with her free time.” She tells us, she will have no problem filling it!
We would like to extend our heart felt thanks to Nancy. These 28 years have passed by very quickly and it has been a great ride!
All the best for a healthy and happy retirement Nancy.

Drs. Sosath’s & Schmidt’s adventure began with zebras not wanting to clear the way for their small airplane to land.
The purpose of the trip was to contribute to a sustainable development project and experience how this work is empowering the Maasai & Kipsigis communities to create a brighter future. They worked alongside community members to help build a new school that will educate children for years to come.
They also volunteered at the local dental clinic, and set up a sewing classroom for the girls’ school.
They joined the women of the community, called mamas, as they shared their traditional craft of beading. Katherine, in exchange, taught the mamas how to crochet. Projects, such as beading empower these women to earn a sustainable income and provide for their families. It costs about $10,000 to send each child to high school, so these bracelets help to make that possible.
Drs. Sosath & Schmidt, along with their children, also walked in the footsteps of a local mama on a journey to collect water from the Mara River.
The beauty of these community members will always hold a special place in their hearts. If you would like to learn more about the charities you can search https://www.metowe.com
